The California Air Resources Board sit on a 19 acre campus with a cutting-edge laboratory, advanced chemistry area, and administrative spaces. The facility has vehicle test cells, and testing sites for developing enhanced diagnostics and emissions measurement systems. Carb is LEED Platinum and the largest true net zero energy facility of its type - it produces more energy than it consumes.
fs3H provided on-site planning, construction management, quality control, scheduling, and cost management for AVL. AVL provided the vehicle emissions and testing equipment, hardware, and software. We delivered 18 dynamometers for chassis, engine and powertrain testing; more than 90 emission measurement devices and systems; SHEDs for evaporative testing; fuel and air measurement instruments; and the associated control, simulation, and data acquisition I/O.
